Costs and Estimates

Dental fees are set by the government (NZa – Dutch Healthcare Authority). All dental practices in the Netherlands are required to adhere to these rates. On the website www.allesoverhetgebit.nl you can find detailed information about the various procedures and their costs.

Estimates

As a patient, you want to know in advance what to expect. For treatments over €250, we always provide a cost estimate. However, you may also request an estimate for smaller amounts to get a clear idea of the costs beforehand.

In many cases, we can also calculate how much of the treatment your health insurer will reimburse. This way, you know in advance what your insurance covers and what portion you may need to pay yourself.

Material and technical costs

The Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) requires dentists to provide patients with insight into technical costs on their website. These costs are charged to you without any additional markup, in accordance with NZa guidelines.

We work with trusted laboratories and dental technicians with whom we have a good collaboration. To give you clarity about material and technical costs, we have compiled an overview.

Payments and payment defaults

Your treatment costs are first submitted to your health insurance. The remaining amount not covered (your personal contribution) will be invoiced to you. You will receive the invoice at the email address registered with our practice.
Invoices must be paid within 14 days. In case of partial or non-payment, we will hand over the claim to a collection agency, which may result in your file being set to inactive.
