Our house rules

At our practice, everything starts with personal attention. A highly skilled and dedicated team provides you with the care your teeth deserve. We are fully committed to working with you to make the right choices for your oral health.
To ensure the quality of our services, we kindly ask that you observe the following house rules.

Pain Complaints

If you unexpectedly experience pain, we kindly ask you to contact the practice before 9:00 AM. In most cases, we can assist you on the same day. Outside opening hours, for emergencies, please contact the Mondzorgpoli in Amsterdam at: 088-2632700. For more information, visit: www.mondzorgpoli.nl.


Making Appointments

  • The dentist communicates any upcoming appointments to the reception.
  • After leaving the treatment room, you can schedule your (follow-up) appointment at the reception desk.
  • We treat patients by appointment only; there is no walk-in consultation.
  • We aim to start your check-up or treatment at the agreed time. Therefore, we ask you to arrive on time with clean teeth.
  • If there is a delay due to, for example, a late patient or complications during treatment, we regret this. We prioritize quality over speed and ask for your understanding in case of delays. The practice is not liable for any costs, fines, or lost revenue caused by delays.
  • After you have checked in at the desk (using the tablet), please take a seat in the waiting area. The dentist or assistant will come to collect you.
  • If you are unable to attend or wish to reschedule an appointment, please notify us at least 2 working days in advance. You can contact us by phone or email at: 0252-683825 or info@bolstandartsen.nl.
  • If you cancel late or do not show up, we reserve the right to charge you for the reserved time, which can be up to 100% of the treatment cost.
  • The practice will send you an appointment reminder. This is a service and not a confirmation of the appointment. You cannot derive any rights from not receiving a reminder. You remain responsible for attending your scheduled appointment.
  • From the age of 18, you are personally responsible for your appointments and payment of invoices.


Costs

If the cost of a treatment exceeds €250, the dentist is required to provide a cost estimate in advance. You can always request a cost estimate from the dentist.

Payments and Payment Defaults

Your treatment costs are first submitted to your health insurance. Any remaining amount not covered (your personal contribution) will be invoiced to you. The invoice will be sent to the email address we have on file.
Invoices must be paid within 14 days. In case of incomplete payment or non-payment, we will hand over the claim, which may result in your file being marked as inactive.


Patient File and Privacy

As is common in healthcare, we have a privacy policy for patient administration. This means, among other things, that you have access to your data and that we only share your information with third parties with your consent. We also follow the guidelines developed by our professional organization regarding patient files.

You are always responsible for ensuring that all your information (address, email, phone number, health insurer, etc.) is known to us and kept up to date. You can update your details by phone, in person, or by email at info@bolstandartsen.nl.

Safety

We treat each other with respect. Therefore, physical and/or verbal violence, discrimination, (sexual) intimidation, or other undesirable behavior is not tolerated. In cases of theft, vandalism, or aggression, we will report the incident to the police.

If you notice an unsafe situation or feel unsafe, please report this to the reception or speak to a staff member.
